Teijin notes higher sales of aramid tire cord products

Tokyo – First quarter sales of Teijin’s Twaron para-aramid fibres “expanded firmly” particularly in automotive markets, the Japanese company has reported.
The gains included increases in demand for the company’s tire cord products in Europe, noted its 2 Aug financial statement for the three months to 30 June.
“We posted favourable sales of tire cords, as well as car seat and synthetic leather fabrics, along with conveyor belts, hoses and airbags getting off to a good start,” said Teijin.
Tejin is strengthening its global production and sales structure for automotive materials, the company report also stated.
