New president and CEO for Bridgestone Europe, Middle East & Africa

Brussels – Bridgestone Corp. has appointed Paolo Ferrari as president and CEO of its Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) business unit based in Zaventem, Belgiumx. He also will be a member of the Bridgestone Europe NV/SA board and executive committee.
Franco Annunziato, who previously held the position of CEO of Bridgestone EMEA, was appointed executive chairman and CEO of Bridgestone China Asia Pacific in January 2016, noted an 18 July Brisgestone announcement.
Ferrari, who will join Bridgestone on 19 Sept, has previously held various management roles at Pirelli in North America, Europe and Latin America. Most recently, he was CEO of the Italian tire maker’s LATAM division. Prior to that he was CEO and chairman of the North American business.
His career also includes chief executive roles with the Telecom Italia Group in Italy, Germany, and the UK across multiple business units. He also worked in investment banking with Credit Suisse First Boston in London.
