Henniges to open first plant in Poland
Prudnik, Poland – Henniges Automotive Holdings Inc. plans to open its first manufacturing plant in Poland, the firm said in a 13 July news release.
It added that it plans to add more than 500 employees over the next five years. The new facility is about 93 miles north of Henniges’ manufacturing operation in Hranice, Czech Republic.
Financial details and capacity figures were not disclosed.
“Henniges is very growth-minded under the new leadership,” Ann Budin, vice president of European operations, said in a statement. “Opening a plant in Prudnik enables us to build on the expertise of our plant in the Czech Republic to expand our technology offerings in the region.”
Henniges is a global provider of sealing and anti-vibration components for the automotive market. Headquartered in Auburn Hills, Michigan, the firm employs 7,700 worldwide with facilities in all four major regions of the world. It is a subsidiary of China-based Aviation Industry Corp.
