West Bromwich UK – Chemicals maker Robinson Brothers has added two storage tanks to a newly installed tank farm at its West Bromwich site.
Marking an investment of €630,000, the 50 cubic-metre tanks will support growing demand for piperidine, the UK company recently announced.
Robinson Brothers has also introduced state-of-the-art tanker loading/unloading systems, as well as automatic drum filling operations, the statement added.
The West Bromwich site is equipped to handle materials under strictly controlled and contained conditions, including a thermal oxidiser and bespoke flue gas scrubbing systems.
Piperidine is used as a chemical intermediate for medicine and agricultural products and as a catalyst for ‘super glue’ adhesives.
Robinson Brothers further offers derivatives including; piperidine hydrochloride, n-formylpiperidine, n-ethylpiperidine and dipentamethylene thiuram polysulfide - a rubber vulcanisation accelerator.
