Bangkok – A major fire at the LingLong Thailand Co. (LLIT) tire plant in Chonburi province has destroyed six warehouses, according to local reports.
The Bangkok Post has reported that some 200 employees were working at the site when the fire broke at around 8pm on 1 Feb. Everyone, it said, managed to escape though some required treatment for smoke inhalation.
It is thought that the fire was started by an electrical short circuit, but forensic tests would begin later today to establish the cause, added the news report.
