Hampton, UK – Hallite Seals, a UK hydraulic sealing systems supplier and part of Michelin Group, has signed an agreement to acquire Italian seals maker Aston Seals.
The agreement is subject to regulatory and non-statutory approval and is expected to be finalised "in the coming months," the company announced 6 July.
The acquisition, Hallite Seals said, will enhance the company's presence in Europe and reinforce its "strategic position" in the market.
Founded in Carpi, Italy in 1999, Aston Seals operates in over 80 countries, and produces a range of hydraulic, pneumatic and custom-made sealing products for a wide range of applications.
“Aston Seals joining Hallite, and the wider Advanced Sealing Technologies Group of Michelin, will… ultimately provide great opportunities for our collective customers,” said Tony Pace, managing director, Hallite Europe.
The investment will enable both companies to leverage an "established global network," he added.
“By joining forces, we are positioned to enhance our service offerings while maintaining the fast and reliable support that customers value,” Hallite said.
