New facility to improve service and supply for European, Central East Asian, and Middle Eastern markets
Espoo, Finland – Metso Corp. is expanding its stationary screen production by establishing a new manufacturing centre in Oradea, Romania.
The investment aims to increase capacity and strengthen customer proximity and service capabilities for customers in Europe, Central East Asia, and the Middle East, Metso announced 3 July.
Metso screening products are primarily used in aggregates, minerals processing and metals refining industries.
Among other products, they include Trellex-branded rubber and polyurethane screening media solutions for a wide range of applications.
According to Metso, the site in Oradea will support growth in capital screening equipment and the supply of spare and wear parts, including rubber screening media.
Metso expects the centre to employ 70–80 people by the end of 2026.
“This investment is a continuation of our regional strategy implementation,” said Jouni Mahonen, VP screening business line.
The new centre in Romania will “improve responsiveness to meet customer needs, answer to growing demand in growth markets.”
In particular, Metso noted that the centre will support growing demand in both the minerals and aggregates segments.
“Customer proximity is at the heart of our service philosophy,” added Adrian Wood, VP central region screening business line.
In addition to providing further flexibility to meet regional specifications, the new centre will also ensure “strong service capabilities through integrated screening media production.”
The Oradea site will complement Metso’s existing stationary screen production footprint in France, Brazil, India, South Africa, and China.
