Hamburg, Germany – HF TireTech is moving its extrusion-machinery manufacturing operation out of Germany in response, it said, to increasing market demand and changing requirements in the rubber and tire industries.
Subsidiary HF-NaJUS in Slovakia will take over the operation from the company’s Hamburg site, which has reached the limits of its production capacities, said a company statement. Management, engineering, sales and service teams are, though, to remain in Hamburg.
In 2012, HF acquired ZTS-LR NaJUS – a Dubnica-based manufacturer of welded structures, mechanical processing, and assembler of machines and components – from the Rona Group.
The 250-employee Slovak company, which had been a long-term supplier to HF Mixing Group, became the German group’s second plant in eastern Europe alongside its production site in Belisce, Croatia.
HF-NaJus will now serve as a new “centre of excellence” for extrusion technology production, machine assembly and logistics, said HF, adding that the production and final assembly of extrusion equipment would remain the group’s core business.
“The expansion of the production capacity for our extrusion equipment and the creation of more room for innovation will enable HF to continuously deliver the level of services the customers have come to expect in terms of quality and reliability,” said HF.
