Semperit highlighting polyisoprene surgical glove at Arab Health show
ERJ staff report (BC)
Vienna/Dubai, January, 2014 – Semperit’s medical gloves division is exhibiting at this year’s Arab Health show in Dubai. The company’s Syntegra UV glove will be presented to Sempermed customers in the Middle East region.
With this glove Sempermed claims to be the first manufacturer worldwide to develop a surgical glove using polyisoprene, which is similar to natural latex, interlinked by ultraviolet light as a catalyst instead of chemical accelerators that trigger allergies. The same high wearing comfort as for a latex glove is claimed.
The Syntegra UV is cited as suitable for workers with a type I latex allergy, as well as type IV allergies triggered by accelerators. The same tactile sensitivity and suppleness as with natural latex are claimed.
Also at the show will be Sempermed’s Supreme Green, an “optimised” under-glove designed for double gloving during surgical procedures.
Arab Health is being held at the Dubai International Convention & Exhibition Centre, ending tomorrow (30 January). Sempermed is at stand Z2G59 in the Za´abeel Hall.
