    ERJ staff report (TP)

Waalwijk, the Netherlands − Dutch tire manufacturer Magna Tyres announced the release of its first official ‘technical databook’ on 17 December.

Its publication is a result of the “increasing demand of its customers and end-users of Magna Tyres for a reference guide with detailed product specifications”.

With the launch of the databook, the company said it had directly responded to one of the few points of improvement from its annual customer satisfaction survey.

The Magna Tyres Technical Databook 2014 not only includes the technical specifications of its whole OTR product range, but also the specifications of Magna port handling tires and industrial solid tires.

The catalogue also includes specific information about appropriate transport and storage of OTR tires, technical information about rims, mounting instructions, safety instructions and other practical recommendations. There is a focus on use and maintenance of tires for mining applications, with chapters dedicated to site management, special tread compounds and TKPH measurements.

It is available on the company website at www.magnatyres.com. A hardcopy version will be available on request from 1 January 2014.
