Chinese parent group invests in 6 million-unit facility targeting export markets
Svay Rieng, Cambodia — A tire brand owned by Chinese-based Best Choice International Trade Co., has inaugurated its first overseas manufacturing facility in Cambodia.
Signalling the group’s international ambitions, the Autogreen plant in the Svay Rieng Special Economic Zone was officially opened 12 Jan, the company reported via social media.
According to Best Choice, construction of the facility began in January last year and the project moved from groundbreaking to the first tire produced in 288 days.
The phase-one investment totals around $280 million (€240 million) and covers a 32-hectare site, with an initial production capacity of 6 million passenger car tires per year.
The plant will focus on mid- to high-end products, including large-size high-performance tires and run-flat tires, targeting export markets in Europe, North America and other global regions.
Phase II of the project is scheduled for commissioning in the first half of 2026, which will increase total annual capacity to 12 million tires.
Best Choice said the Cambodian facility will help strengthen supply chain stability and improve delivery efficiency for international customers.
Production in Cambodia also offers trade advantages, enabling the company to mitigate tariff risks and optimise logistics for key markets such as Europe and the US, it added.
The site is expected to serve as a regional hub for Southeast Asia, Australia and the Middle East, working alongside the company’s existing manufacturing base in China.
Autogreen is one of several tire brands marketed globally by Best Choice International Trade Co., alongside brands including Delmax and Mazzini.
