    ERJ staff report (TP)

Stara Zagora, Bulgaria − Standard Profil won a major project that includes the construction of the full range of rubber seals for the new model of Opel’s Astra, reported Standart News.

As one of the leading companies in production of rubber seals in Europe, Standard Profil has “won the trust” of giant Daimler and will also equip some of its SMART models.

These two long-term contracts will double the capacity and staff of the Bulgarian firm.

"We are completing a new production hall of 700 square metres and next year we will build another new factory with an area of 5,000 square metres," CEO Petar Angelov said.

The total investment to build the new facilities and equipment was approximately BGN 2m (€1.02m). The company's number of staff, which is currently just over 1,000 will increase to above 2,000.
