Dow Corning showcases silicone construction materials

Midland, Michigan, USA – At the XXV Expo CIHAC building, construction and housing trade show (Mexico City, 15-19 October), Dow Corning will highlight silicone-based solutions for commercial glazing and building façades designed to improve the performance and sustainability of both new and refurbished buildings.
At Stand D671 at the show, Dow will highlight materials formulated to help increase energy efficiency, reduce the carbon footprints of buildings and facilitate LEED certification.
Dow Corning TSSA Transparent Silicone Structural Adhesive is cited as a strong, durable and “virtually invisible” material that enables point fixing of gas-filled insulating glass (IG) units without the need to drill through them.
Dow Corning 121 Structural Glazing Sealant is offered as a fast-cure, easy-to-install silicone sealant that does not require costly two-part mixing equipment, cures in 24 hours and is suitable for both in-shop and on-site glazing.
Dow Corning 776 InstantFix WB is a silicone window and door assembly sealant for which “instant green strength” and time saving are claimed. is claimed. It is a one-part, neutral-cure formulation.
