Man arrested following 'huge' UK tire blaze

Gravesend, UK – A man has been arrested on suspicion of arson following a “huge” tire blaze in the town of Gravesend, UK, according to Kent Online.
The fire broke out just after 11.30 am GMT on 31 August and firefighters spent more than 12 hours, bringing the flames under control.
Eyewitnesses reported huge clouds of thick black smoke visible for miles and heavy smell of burning rubber in the area. A number of ambulances were sent to the scene, although a spokesman for Kent Fire and Rescue said no one was injured, according to the news website. He added that fire crews from across the county of Kent were needed to tackle the blaze.
A 22-year-old man from Gravesend was arrested and has been bailed until 30 September while investigations continue.
