    ERJ staff report (BC)

Melksham, UK – Cooper Tire has launched a new 17-inch wet-weather tire for the European Rallycross Championship.

The 210/635R17 tires have already undergone tests in Germany, Sweden and Norway, where they ran competitively, says the company, and have been used in open competition in both Portugal and France, where the fastest laps in the heats are claimed to have been set on Coopers.

14-time European Rallycross Champion and Hansen Motorsport team manager Kenneth Hansen is reported as saying that Cooper’s wet-weather tire performance was comparable to that of its highly acclaimed ACB11 in dry conditions.

The next round of the European Rallycross Championship will be held at Höljes, Sweden, over the weekend of 6-7 July.
