ERJ staff report (BC)
Ajax, Ontario, Canada – Environmental Waste International Inc. (EWI) has announced the successful completion of a continuous 24-hour run of its TR900 pilot waste tire processing plant in Sault Sainte Marie, Ontario, Canada. This is the longest continuous run in the company's history.
EWS's technology has been tested to break down many organic materials, it says. The reverse polymerisation process has initially been focused on reducing entire waste tires to valuable commodities including carbon black, bunker oil and steel.
The 24-hour run is reported to have produced over 1800kg of carbon black. Several interested potential customers have already requested samples of this output for testing, said EWI.
