Cooper JV to expand Indiana sealing operations
ERJ staff report (LMH)
Bremen, Indiana – Nishikawa Cooper LLC, an automotive sealing systems manufacturer, is to invest $12.7 million (€9.7 million) in its Bremen, Indiana facility.
As part of the expansion, NISCO, a joint venture between Nishikawa Rubber Co. of Hiroshima, Japan, and Cooper Standard of Novi, Michigan, will install new equipment to accommodate the company’s door hole sealing finishing capabilities.
The 11 April announcement is NISCO’s third expansion in the state in less than a year. In February, the company made plans to invest an additional $8.6 million to install new equipment at its Topeka, Indiana headquarters, following an announcement in June 2012 to invest $5.5 million in the site.
