Partnership to support tire certification, testing and global market expansion
Qingdao, China – TUV Rheinland Greater China and Sailun Group have signed a strategic cooperation agreement to support the tire maker’s global expansion plans.
The agreement, signed on 31 March in Qingdao, will see the two sides deepen cooperation in testing, inspection, certification and regulatory research, TUV Rheinland Greater China said 3 April.
Under the deal, the partners will expand collaboration in areas including tire 'E-Mark certification', global market access, R&D testing and materials chemical analysis, as well as TUV Rheinland testing marks.
The testing consultant will also provide services covering management system certification, quality and R&D training, as well as consulting on intelligent manufacturing, lean production and low-carbon development.
The aim, said the German group, is to help Sailun “improve production efficiency” and “enhance product quality,” while boosting its international competitiveness.
Looking ahead, the partners plan to explore cooperation in artificial intelligence and intelligent manufacturing, including the application of AI in production processes to support digital transformation.
According to Sailun VP Xu Guofeng, the two companies have worked together for more than 20 years in areas such as in tire testing, certification and regulatory training.
TUV Rheinland also carried out road fuel consumption testing for Sailun’s “liquid gold” tires, verifying their fuel-saving performance.
