Bridgestone to highlight loader and dozer tires at Bauma
ERJ staff report (BC)
Zaventem, Belgium – At the forthcoming Bauma trade fair for construction equipment, Bridgestone Europe will present its 20.5 R25 VSDR tire for the first time.
The new tire has extra-deep treads for loaders and dozers, and is designed for work in harsh conditions such as recycling and mining operations. Compared to its predecessor (the VSDL), the VSDR is claimed to offer significant improvement in cut resistance and tire life, resulting in better cost-per-hour performance.
Bridgestone will also show what it claims is the largest offroad radial tire in the world. The 59/80R63 VRF weighs 5.2 tonnes and has a diameter of 4.02m. It is designed to fit rigid dump trucks rated at up to 400 tonnes, working in coal and copper mines, and oil sands, all over the world.
Bauma will be held in Munich, Germany from 15-21 April. Bridgestone will exhibit at stand 109/206, Hall A6.
