China, Singapore, Malaysia largest importers of Myanmar rubber

Naypyidaw – China, Singapore and Malaysia are the largest importers of Myanmar’s rubber, according to a report on Myanmar news website Mizzima.
The website reported that 500 tonnes of rubber was exported to Singapore and Malaysia via sea routes between 10-16 Feb, while 1141 tonnes of rubber were exported to China and Thailand through border trade.
Mizzima quoted the secretary of the Myanmar Rubber Planters and Producers Association as saying that other countries importing Myanmar’s rubber output include Indonesia, Korea, Vietnam, India and Thailand.
The price of rubber ranged from $3000-$3100 per tonne on 26 Feb, according to the Myanmar Rubber Planters and Producers Association.
