ERJ staff report (RPN)
Amersfoort, the Netherlands — Akzo Nobel Polymer Chemicals B.V. plans to increase prices in Europe, the Middle East, India and Africa for a number of chemicals, some used by rubber processors.
The company said it will hike prices this quarter, or as contracts allow, by 10 percent for the lines of organic peroxides, azo initiators and cobalt and amine accelerators.
Prices will increase for Perkadox 14, Perkadox 16, Perkadox BC, Perkadox AIBN, Perkadox AMBN, Trigonox 29, Trigonox 17, Trigonox K, Trigonox T, Laurox, Cyclonox, and colbalt and amine accelerators.
Akzo Nobel blamed raw material and energy costs, among other factors, for its decision.
