Hankook switching top execs in Americas, China

Wayne, New Jersey -Byeong Jin Lee has been named president and chief operating officer of Hankook Tire America Corp., succeeding Soo Il Lee, who is relocating to parent Hankook Tire Co. Ltd's China regional headquarters.
The company also named Jeong Ho Park senior vice president of marketing for the US-based operation. He assumes that role on 1 Jan.
Byeong Jin Lee-who most recently held the posts Soo Il Lee is taking in China-will serve as chief operating officer for Hankook's businesses through North and South America, in charge of growth and marketing strategies for the US, Canada, Mexico, Central and South America.
Soo Il Lee has spent the past three years in his posts in the Americas. The company said during his tenure Hankook Tire America experienced positive sales and market share growth, highlighted by reaching a record $1 billion mark in US sales in 2011.
