Indian skill centre to address rubber manpower crunch
ERJ staff report (BC)
Delhi - In an initiative to resolve manpower problems in the Indian rubber industry, the recently formed Rubber Skill Development Centre (RSDC) has laid out its plans and begun operation.
The Delhi-headquartered centre was set up by the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) in collaboration with All India Rubber Industries Association (AIRIA) and Automotive Tyre Manufacturers Association (ATMA).
RSDC chairman Vinod Simon said the centre will assist the rubber sector across "all skills pinch points". It is beginning by preparing an inventory of skills for the industry and identifying development needs.
