TPE helps Denso save money on auto HVAC system
ERJ staff report (DS)
Cleveland, Ohio - Substituting a proprietary TPE for an older TPV has helped an automotive supplier save money. Denso worked with TPE supplier Polyone to substitute the material in an automotive application in the HVAC (heating, ventilation, airconditioning) area.
PolyOne developed a TPE solution that reduced the total system cost by eliminating the need to pre-dry the material as well as providing more than a five percent improvement in processing efficiencies via shortened cycle times and scrap reductions.
