Trelleborg opens AVS, moulded goods operations in India
ERJ staff report (DS)
Bengaluru, India - Trelleborg has opened two facilities on a single site in India. One unit will produce industrial antivibration systems (AVS); the other will make speciality moulded rubber goods.
Both operations are included in the Trelleborg Engineered Systems business area. The facilities form part of Trelleborg's strategy to grow in profitable markets and market segments. The operations will provide Trelleborg's existing international customers with local support and deliveries for their facilities in India, and will also offer deliveries and support to local Indian manufacturers.
“We strongly believe in India's long-term growth opportunities. This investment further strengthens our already strong global platform. As a result of structural changes in India in terms of the continued rise in population, industrial development and demand for such infrastructure as railways, roads, airports and ports, combined with sustainable development, the country comprises a growth market for Trelleborg,†says President and CEO, Peter Nilsson.
