London - Rubber prices rose strongly overnight. On Tokyo's Tocom Exchange, prices for the six-month contract were trading up by around 4 percent at just above yen 262 ($3.27) in late trading on Thursday 25 October. Shorter-dated prices were trading up more strongly at around yen 255 from yen 238.
In Singapore, the April 2013 TSR20 contract on SGX was trading up by 6 cents at $2.96 in late trading on Thursday evening; November 2012 prices were 7 cents higher at $2.89.
In India, NMCE said November prices closed down by a rupee at just under Rs 178 ($3.33). December prices eased slightly to close just below Rs 179.
In China the Shanghai Futures Exchange contract for November rose by nearly half a yuan to close at Yuan 24.1 ($3.84) per kilo on Thursdday. Prices for January 2013 also rose by 0.5 to yuan 24.9.
