NR prices continue downward trend

London - Rubber prices eased further nvernight. On Tokyo's Tocom Exchange, prices for the six-month contract were trading down around 4 at just below yen 251 ($3.14) in late trading on Tuesday 23 October. Shorter-dated prices fell by about 4 yen to trade around yen 242.

In Singapore, the April 2013 TSR20 contract on SGX was trading down by a cent at $2.88 in late trading on Tuesday evening; November 2012 prices were 3 cents lower at $2.80.

In India, NMCE said November prices closed dlevel at Rs 179 ($3.33). December prices were also unchanged to close just above Rs 180.

In China the Shanghai Futures Exchange contract for November fell by almost a yuan to close just above Yuan 23.5 ($3.76) per kilo on Tuesday. Prices for January 2013 also fell by 0.7 to yuan 24.1.
