Lanxess announces further investments in Le Wantzenau

Le Wantzenau, France - Lanxess has announced a further investment of euro 40 million at its nitrile rubber production unit in Le Wantzenau. The company said the investment is related to productivity and energy efficiency. Lanxess did not mention any impact on the capacity of the unit.
The factory makes nitrile-butadiene rubber (NBR), which is used primarily in the automotive and construction industries. The plant is the largest of its type in the world with an annual capacity of more than 100,000 metric tons. It is the company's global centre for organisation and research in NBR
