Schaeffler reports increased revenues in first half

Herzogenaurach, Germany -- The Schaeffler Group's revenue increased by five percent to approximately €5.7 billion during the first six months of 2012. The company's EBIT of €780 million fell short of the high prior-year level of €883 million.

Schaeffler said it created approximately 1,800 new jobs during the first six months of 2012. The company now employs almost 76,000 staff worldwide.
