NR prices remain weak overnight

London - Rubber prices remained weak on Wednesday 15 August, but did not continue the rapid fall of recent days. On Tokyo's Tocom Exchange, prices for the six-month contract were up 1 at just under yen 209 ($2.65). Shorter-dated prices were trading down a further 5 yen at yen 192 toward the end of the Wednesday evening session.

In Singapore, the February 2013 TSR20 contract on SGX was trading up slightly at $2.46; September 2012 prices eased by a further 4 cents, to trade around $2.40 toward the end of the Wednesday evening session.

In India, NMCE was closed for India National Day.

In China the Shanghai Futures Exchange contract for August closed down by a fraction of a yuan at Yuan 21.3 ($3.35) per kilo on Wednesday. September prices fell by the same amount to close at yuan 21.5.
