Iranians building SBR-BR plant

Bandar-e Mahshahr, Iran - ERJ is not sure how new this report is, but we have seen a report that the SBR / BR plant at Bandar-e Mahshahr is going ahead and is now 58 percent complete. The project is being developed by Takht e Jamshid Petrochemical Industrial Company (TJPC)
The plant was originally due on stream in 2009 and will use a second-hand reactor from ExxonMobil. The 30 kt of SBR was to use technology from Goodyear Chemical while the 18 kt BR unit uses technology from B F Goodrich.
The feed of the plant includes 45K tonnes/year of Butadiene and 6 tonnes/year of Styrene which will be supplied from Amir Kabir Petrochemical Complex and Pars Petrochemical. Respectively.
