London - Rubber prices moved upwards over the weekend. On Tokyo's Tocom Exchange, prices for the six-month contract rose by around 2 percent to consolidate their position above the $3 barrier at yen 247 ($3.10) on Monday 02 July. Shorter-dated prices were also up to trade around yen 243 on Monday. evening.
In Singapore, the TSR20 contract on SGX was trading up 4 at $2.90 for December deliveries on Monday. January deliveries were priced at 292; August prices were also up, trading around $2.88 in evening trading.
In India, NMCE said July prices were trading up by 3 rupees at Rs 188 ($3.38). August prices were also up at just under Rs 187.
In China the Shanghai Futures Exchange contract for July closed up a fraction at Yuan 23.5 ($3.70) per kilo on Monday. August prices were also higher at yuan 23.6..
