London - Rubber prices moved upwards overnight. On Tokyo's Tocom Exchange, prices for the six-month contract rose by around 2 percent to break through the $3 barrier at yen 242 ($3.04) on Friday 29 June. Shorter-dated prices were also up to trade around yen 236 on Friday. evening.
In Singapore, the TSR20 contract on SGX was trading up 6 at $2.86 for December deliveries on Friday; July prices were also up, trading around 4 cents higher at $2.83 in evening trading.
In India, NMCE said July prices were trading down by a rupee at Rs 185 ($3.28). August prices were unchanged at just over Rs 182.
In China the Shanghai Futures Exchange contract for July closed up a fraction at Yuan 23.2 ($3.65) per kilo on Friday. August prices were also higher at yuan 23.2.
