Trelleborg sales increase in Q1

Stockholm, Sweden - Sales at Trelleborg AB for the three months to March 2012 rose to SEK 7,773 million (euro 879 million) from SEK 7226 million a year ago.
The company said the figures are not directly comparable due to restructuring, but organic sales growth was 7 percent in the period. The EBITDA margin, excluding items affecting comparability, was 12.8 percent compared with 12.1 a year earlier.
The company said all segments did well, in particular the the offshore oil/gas segment in Trelleborg Engineered Systems
rose during the quarter in relation to the preceding quarter. The previously
communicated problems have been resolved and development in the
segment is progressing toward a steady and clear stepwise improvement in
orders received as well as sales, in addition to improved earnings.
The final agreements concerning the formation of the joint
venture in antivibration solutions for light and heavy vehicles were signed.
Completion of the transaction is subject to approval of the relevant
competition authorities.
