SDK to raise chloroprene rubber price in overseas markets
ERJ staff report (LMH)
Tokyo -- Showa Denko KK has decided to increase its chloroprene rubber price in markets outside Japan as from shipments on 1 April.
Specifically, the price will be increased by $500/tonne or more for US-dollar-based transactions, or by €380/tonne or more for euro-based transactions.
SDK said that at present chloroprene rubber price does not fully reflect the increases in raw material costs. Thus, it has concluded that it has no alternative but to ask its customers to bear the cost increase in order to ensure the stable supply of chloroprene rubber and the continuation of its business.
