Book tracks history of Bruce Halle's business success
ERJ staff report (DS)
New York - A biography of Bruce Halle, the founder of the US' largest independent tyre dealership chain, Arizona-based Discount Tire has been published under the title Six Tires, no plan.
The book tracks Halle's life; his approach to business and his management style. It also tracks how Halle moved from an unemployed 30-year-old to the leader of a $3 bilion business at age 81.
It was written by business consultant and former business journalist Michael Rosenbaum of Chicago. He interviews the founder and chairman of Arizona-based Discount Tire, along with current and former employees. The account provides not only a historical account of the company but an insightful blueprint of how one entrepreneur used skill, faith, hard work, and humility to rise to the top of his industry.
