NR prices drift upward on Friday

London -- Rubber prices moved up slightly overnight, continuing the week's trend. On Tokyo's Tocom Exchange, prices for the six-month contract moved up 2 yen to yen 340 ($4.22) per kg a few minutes before the close on 24 February. Shorter-dated prices rose by 3 yen to trade at yen 324 before the close on Friday.

In Singapore, the TSR20 contract on SGX was trading unchanged at $3.86 for July deliveries at $3.82 for March deliveries a few minutes before the close on Friday.

In India, NMCE said March deliveries closed up by about 2 rupees at Rs 189 ($3.85).

In China the Shanghai Futures Exchange contract for March remained unchanged to close at Yuan 29.5 ($4.68) per kilo on Friday.
