Dunlop India suspends operations at Ambattur

Ambattur, India - Dunlop India has suspended operations at its Ambattur plant. In a stock exchange filing, the company said tensions have been rising at the plant since Friday 17th
In the filing, Dunlop said workers had displayed unruly, drunken and disorderly conduct; a customer had advanced cash for tyres in order to pay wages, but the workers had not turned up for work. A batch of 7.5 tonnes of compound was left lying on the floor.
Dunlop said during the dispute, the company will operate on the basis of no work, no pay.
