Lanxess raises prices of chloroprene rubber globally

Leverkusen, Germany -- Lanxess AG is increasing prices for its Baypren branded Chloroprene products by up to EUR 180 EUR / 240 USD per metric ton on a global basis.
The company said increasing prices of energy and raw materials had made the increase necessary. Subject to the terms of any applicable contracts and regulations, price increases will be implemented starting February 15th, 2012.
