ERJ staff report (DS)
Helsinki, Finland - EChA, the European Chemicals Agency charged with implementing REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and restriction of CHemicals) legislation is advising companies to monitor its online list of registered chemicals and forecasts that 2 300 substances that will be registered for the first time by the next deadline of 31 May 2013.
ECHA said it intends to update the list on a monthly basis. To help make the list as complete as possible, it invites potential registrants who intend to register by the 2013 deadline to inform them of this of their intention as soon as possible. Companies can do this by answering the ECHA survey sent out at the end of 2011. Potential registrants may also consult the list of registered substances to verify whether the substance was already registered.
