London -- Rubber prices increased sharply overnight. On Tokyo's Tocom Exchange, prices for the six-month contract closed up 6 yen at yen 323 ($4.16) per kg on Thursday 26 January. Shorter-dated prices also rose strongly to at yen 310.
In Singapore, the TSR20 contract on SGX closed up 6 cents at $3.88 for June deliveries and up 3 cents at $3.83 for February deliveries
In India, NMCE said February deliveries were unchanged to close at Rs 194 ($3.87).
In China the Shanghai Futures Exchange contract for March was unchanged due to the holidays, at Yuan 28.2 ($4.47) per kilo.
