NR prices accelerate overnight

London -- Rubber prices jumped overnight in Tokyo and Singapore. On Tokyo's Tocom Exchange, prices for the six-month contract were trading up by eight yen, at yen 291 ($3.80) per kg just before the close on Tuesday 17 January. Shorter-dated prices increased by about 9 yen and were trading at yen 274 just before the close
In Singapore, TSR20 for June delivery was trading up by 10 cents at $3.59 toward the market close. Short-dated contracts also rose by about 10 cents, trading around $3.52 a few minutes before the close.
In India, NMCE said February deliveries eased by half a rupee to close at Rs 192 ($3.77).
In China the Shanghai Futures Exchange saw March 2012 deliveries rise by a fractin of a yuan to close at Yuan 26.8 ($4.24) per kilo.
