Conti uses tyre technology to develop adidas running shoes
ERJ staff report (LMH)
London - Continental Tyres and adidas have linked to develop
high-end trail running shoes. The tyre maker's Traction Compound
technology is used in adidas' shoes to provide “sure grip on wet and dry
roads,†Continental said.
Continental said that tyre makers and makers of outdoor
sports shoes face the same challenges when it comes to developing the
perfect material for good hold and control on all surfaces, including
ice and snow.
The outcome of this technology and marketing cooperation will be available in the shops soon, Continental said.
The shoes provide outstanding grip, on dry as well as on wet
ground; enhanced performance on all surfaces and in all conditions; and
have been grip tested by the Test and Research Institute Pirmasens
(PFI).
