Rubber prices rose on 16 November

London -- Rubber prices remained continued their slow upward trend overnight. Thailand is reported to be in the market to buy 100,00 tonnes of rubberOn Tokyo's Tocom Exchange, prices for the six-month contract closed up 4 yen at yen 274 ($3.56) per kg on Wednesday 16 Nov. Shorter-dated prices rose faster to close up yen 7 at yen 260.
In Singapore, SGX said RSS3 for delivery in May 2012 was unchanged, closing at $3.55 amid light trading, while short-dated prices were up $0.05 at $3.39. TSR20 for March delivery was up about $0.05, trading around $3.42.
In India, NMCE said December deliveries sunk further below Rs 200, falling by 6 rupees to close at Rs 186 ($3.67).
In China the Shanghai Futures Exchange saw December deliveries sank by just over a yuan to close at Yuan 25.4 ($3.99) per kilo.
