Freudenberg expands sealing business in China

Weinheim, Fermany -- Freudenberg Group said it is, in conjunction with its partner NOK Corp, expanding its sealing activities in China.
The company is currently building in Changchun, China, an exact copy of its flagship plant in Remagen, German. That way, Freudenberg and NOK can meet Volkswagen's request for local production and supply.
In Taicang, not far from Shanghai, NOK-Freudenberg Group is now entering into production of polyurethane seals with a particularly long service life. These are used in mobile hydraulic applications, for example in construction machines. Also here the Chinese employees have gained their skills at the Schwalmstadt site of Freudenberg Sealing Technologies in Germany. A pilot production cell was constructed, "released" and subsequently shipped to China.
Claus Möhlenkamp, speaker of the Board of Management of Freudenberg Sealing Technologiesadded, "The planned localization of a diaphragm production facility in China," would not be possible without initial expertise from the German manufacturing unit in Reichelsheim,
