TIA names Onkar Kanwar to Hall of Fame

Las Vegas, Nevada -- Onkar S Kanwar, Chairman, Apollo Tyres Ltd was inducted into the US-based Tire Industry Association's (TIA) Hall of Fame
2011 at a ceremony held earlier this week ahead of the SEMA show in Las Vegas.
In August, the TIA named Kanwar as well as Bill Fountain, founder of Fountain Tire; John Gamauf, president, Consumer Replacement Tire (retired) of Bridgestone North American Tire; and Ralph “Buddy†Snow, vice president & counsel (retired) for Oliver Rubber to the 2011 Hall of Fame.
On being inducted into TIA's Hall of Fame, Kanwar said, “For me this honour
is a vindication of what Apollo Tyres has tried to achieve within and for the Indian tyre industry. It is a recognition
of the untiring efforts of every individual in the 16,000+ Apollo Tyres family, who have powered our growth and
of our customers and business partners across the globe, for their trust in us and their feedback at all times.â€
