    Avon Tyres shows centenary bike

    ERJ staff report (DS)

Melksham, UK - Avon Tyres is helping to celebrate its 100th birthday this year with a special one-off showbike that made its public debut at this weekend's Isle of Man TT races.

The first chance to see the bike in its basic form came at January's EXPO trade show, but since then the machine has been treated to a list of mouth-watering aftermarket parts, which include: EK chain and sprocket kit, Mivv exhaust, Pazzo levers, Hel brake lines, R&G Racing tail tidy, flush-fit diamond indicators and integrated rear indicators, Bonamici rear set footpegs, double-bubble screen, carbon fibre rear hugger, front fender and fuel-tank protector. These parts were kindly supplied by Speedycom and Direct Distribution while Morse's Motorcycles Yamaha from Weston-super-Mare supplied the bike itself.

The machine is also embellished with the Avon Tyres Centenary logo across its flanks and completed by Avon Tyres' own VP2 Supersport radials. The completed Avon Tyres Centenary bike will now be seen in all its glory at the Isle of Man TT festival which kicks off with the first races this weekend.
