Tanaka to head Yokohama Tire

Fullerton, California - Yasushi Tanaka, who has worked for Yokohama Rubber Co. Ltd. since 1982, will become president of Yokohama Tire Corp. on June 29, succeeding Takao Oishi.
Tanaka, 52, previously was a corporate officer at the parent company in Japan, where he was in charge of the Corporate Planning Department, Secretariat, GD100 Promotion Department. Yokohama Tire said he will be based at the unit's headquarters in Fullerton, and that he also will become president of Yokohama Corp. of America and Yokohama Corp. of North America.
He continues to be a corporate officer with the parent company.
Oishi will become director and managing corporate officer and return to Japan as general manager of the Industrial Products Business Group.
