Japanese production of BR, SBR back to 2010 levels

Tokyo -- Japan's production of SBR and BR jumped in April, and output is now higher than the levels seen in the same month last year, according to new data from the Japan Petrochemical Industry Association (JPCA)
Production fell sharply in March following the 11 March earthquake, and recovered in April, but remain below normal levels.
For solid SBR, April output was 34.5 kt, up from 23.5 kt in March, and compares with 47.6 kt in January and 41.5kt in February. Japan produced 34.2 kt in April 2010.
For solid BR, April output was 21.2 kt in April, up from 17 kt in March, and compares with 26.2 kt in January and 23.8kt in February. Japan produced 19.2 kt in April 2010.
