Pirelli to raise tyre prices in Europe
ERJ staff report (DS)
Milan, Italy - Pirelli has announced price increases in all Emea area markets (Europe, Middle East, Africa) for car, moto, scooter, light industrial and heavy industrial vehicle tyres.
The increases, which come into effect on 1 June 2011, will be up to 6 percent for summer tyres, up to 12 percent for winter tyres in Europe, and up to 10 percent for all tyres in the Middle East and Africa.
The company said the move is a consequence of the rising cost of key raw materials, in particular natural rubber and oil.
